Are We Being Greedy?

Lately, we were awakened with incidental events happening around us; tsunamis, landslides, volcanoes eruptions etc. But what I am writing here right now at 0020 hrs does not mean to provoke nor teasing other parties because it is my personal opinions. Our earth is getting older and older by the day but we keeps on causing damage to her causing her to act violently. But what will happen if there is no sunrise? What will happen if there is no green scenery that would be beneficial for both current and future generations for them to understand that this 'Old Lady' needs further attention and protection rather than being greedy and selfish by clearing all jungles and forests merely for them to make money or making their investment worthwhile.

I listened to Michael Jackson's song, called Earth Song, somehow the song made me to think that it is solely up to us to protect the earth not making more damages on her. While looking for ideas, I came across Michael Jackson's website and listened to one of his hits, Earth Song and the song somehow made me laid back and think what have I done for the best of the earth? Come and let us enjoy the poet written by Michael Jackson...

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain.. .
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

To me this is the best poem ever written by Michael Jackson and he realized it in a form of song. Coincidentally, I have also found his video clip for the song. Let us together protect our mother nature. She is too old to sustain all the damages done by us; human. Let us treat our mother nature will love and affection; like how one love his or her mother. Together we save the environment.
